Let’s talk wearable technology. It looks like PC sales are slowing down as people make the move to mobile devices, like tablets, and the next, great frontier is wearable tech, like Google Glasses and Apple’s soon-to-be-unveiled iWatch. Even Dell is counting on wearable technology to save its financial bacon!
Is becoming even more dependent on technology a good thing? As it is now, most of us depend on assistance from technology for everyday life, from using GPS-enabled mapping software to get to our destination, to using search engines to answer simple questions (“What is uncured bacon?”), to getting recommendations of where to eat is a foreign city. I can relate my own experiences being in Europe through multiple cities and the reliance we had on technology. Making it even more portable and powerful will likely increase that dependence.
