Technology Predictions for 2014

Technology is evolving and becoming more sophisticated each year. In 2014, many predictions are expected to occur in the world of technology. First, smartphones and tablets will become cheaper than ever before. Most manufacturers utilize facilities in China to make their phones, however, companies in China are starting to make inexpensive smartphones and tablets for consumers.

While Apple will continue to be a premium source of expensive portable devices, Android will make a larger variety of less expensive devices powered by Google’s Android operating system. As far as other technology predictions go, encryption efforts will increase significantly in 2014. The NSA’s leaked documents have raised major concern regarding data privacy, which has motivated many organizations to increase their security efforts, including encryption, to protect their sensitive data.
