Alvarez Technology Group Now A Registered Provider Organization
Alvarez Technology Group, Inc. (ATG) announced it had been approved as a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) by the Cyber Accreditation Body (CyberAB), enabling the firm to provide consulting services to defense contractors and suppliers seeking to obtain the mandatory new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which will be a requirement starting as soon as March 2023.
In January 2020, the Department of Defense (DoD) released the CMMC program to strengthen cybersecurity throughout its 300,000-contractor supply chain also known as the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). The CMMC standard offers three cybersecurity certification levels, ranging from Basic (Level 1) to Advanced (Level 3). All DIB contractors and subcontractors require at least CMMC Level 1 compliance to do business with the DoD.

The CyberAB screens applicants for RPO status and determines if the applicants satisfy all the requirements to become an RPO. ATG is among the first cybersecurity firms to earn RPO status, which means the firm is authorized to provide CMMC consulting services to DIB companies seeking certification. ATG employs CyberAB certified Registered Practitioners (RP) and CMMC Certified Professionals (CCP) trained to assist clients with complying with the CMMC requirements.
In addition to providing readiness assessments to CMMC candidates, ATG provides a comprehensive set of products and services companies will need to implement to prepare for CMMC certification. The assessment reveals the gaps between where the contractors are and what they need to do to close those gaps and ensure they are certified to continue doing business with the DoD.
